The Illinois Child-Parent Psychotherapy Learning Collaborative
The Illinois Child-Parent Psychotherapy Learning Collaborative provides high quality mental health and trauma-focused training to clinicians and mental health providers working with children age birth to 5 in a variety of settings.
This initiative was initially developed through a partnership of the Child Trauma Research Project (CTRP), Erikson Institute, and Jewish Child and Family Services (JCFS). Nationally recognized child trauma expert Patricia Van Horn, JD, PhD led the first cohort along with local experts from Erikson, Tina Dorow and Beth Pettinelli. Funding is generously provided by the Irving Harris Foundation, with additional support provided by the Steans Family Foundation and the Michael Reese Health Trust. The project director is Jon Korfmacher, PhD, associate professor at Erikson Institute.
A fifth cohort of the Learning Collaborative, funded by the Irving Harris Foundation, is set to begin June 2018. To stay up to date sign up for our newsletter here.
