About

The Illinois Child-Parent Psychotherapy Learning Collaborative

The Illinois Child-Parent Psychotherapy Learning Collaborative provides high quality mental health and trauma-focused training to clinicians and mental health providers working with children age birth to 5 in a variety of settings.

The fifth cohort of the Learning Collaborative, funded by the Irving Harris Foundation, began June 2018, with Jon Korfmacher, PhD, associate professor at Erikson Institute as project director.

This initiative was initially developed through a partnership of the Child Trauma Research Project (CTRP), Erikson Institute, and Jewish Child and Family Services (JCFS). Nationally recognized child trauma expert Patricia Van Horn, JD, PhD led the first cohort along with local experts from Erikson, Tina Dorow and Beth Pettinelli. Funding is generously provided by the Irving Harris Foundation, with additional support provided by the Steans Family Foundation and the Michael Reese Health Trust.
